At His Feet

It seems like our lives are so busy. Filled with our 9-5 jobs, our babies, soccer practice, church, grocery shopping, online courses… you name it and you are probably doing it. Life is busy and exhausting at times, and by the time you do all the things on your 'To Do' list, you often collapse in bed.

But then that still, small voice whispers, "I want to talk to you"…"I miss you"..."Come sit at my feet." You drag your tired body up out of bed, and you walk the ten steps to your prayer closet, you kneel down... and you find Him.

°°° "You find HIM." °°°

The One who woke you up this morning. The one who shielded you when the dog ran out in front of your car on the way to drop your child off at school. The one who helped you with your paper in that class you thought for sure you would never pass. The one who provided the money for that unexpected bill that showed up in the mailbox. He meets us right there, always.

At the end of a long day, He comforts us, and He holds us while we cry and ask Him to help us be a better mom, wife, and friend. He listens to us while we pour out our heart to Him. He smiles as we say, “Lord I trust you,” and “God, I thank you.” And then after you have spoken to the Master, you get up and suddenly, you feel revived. You no longer feel sleepy, and you smile as you look at your husband and child peacefully sleeping. Life is so, so good.

Our Heavenly father longs to hear from you.  It doesn’t matter if it’s while you are cooking over the stove or if you stay up late to kneel at his feet.  Find “YOUR” time. No matter how busy you are, no matter how many projects you have going on, and no matter how many “hats” you wear, pick a time and stick to it. I promise it will be worth it. I promise you will gain strength, and I promise that He will meet you there.

I find that my “best” time is early in the morning before I get ready for work. The house is still and quiet. I set my alarm for 5:00am, and I know that I have at least an hour to read, pray, listen to sermons, and meditate on God. So pick a time and determine in your heart that you will stick to it. He will always listen. <3

We are confident that he hears us when we ask for anything that pleases him. - 1 John 5:14
